The One Day Wonder Challenge (everyone's invited to enter; scroll down to read how to sign up)

It’s the season of the Classics and you are challenged to pick the winners of each “monument”.  When your rider/team wins you win a “valuable” prize!

Signing Up:

1.        If you are already in Roger’s coaching group; you are auto-signed up. 

2.        If you want to join the group; follow Youngs Training on Strava and join Roger’s Group. You will get an invitation. Accept the invite and you’re entered. 

Earning a Pick (2 ways to earn picks)

1. Every time you complete a ZWIFT session (reported automatically on Strava); you get to pick a winner for a classic (women or men).

2. Every time you visit the/a velodrome you earn a pick. To get credit for velodrome visits you'll need to send a note to youngstraining@gmail.com .

Checking your pick account:

-              Go to the web page to confirm your entry and the number of picks you have.  If you feel you are missing any picks; let me know and I’ll make corrections.

-              Check on-going the win column (and confirm your results)

Making your pick(s) (you may send as many separate e-mails as you like)

-              e-mail to youngstrainig@gmail.com

-              Subject of each e-mail: Challenge

-              e-mail content:

o   Your name (e-mail addresses don’t always show your name)

o   Include a USPS address if you are not in direct contact with Roger or others in the group. i.e. you’re living on Mars or somewhere as remote…

o   Name the Classic are you picking on

o   The Team(s) number(s) you pick for the win (see the Team numbers below)

o   AGAIN: Make it clear on what race(s) and what team number(s) you are picking

Rules:

1.        You only get to pick a given rider/team once per race.

2.        You may pick as many different rider/teams for a given race as you have numbers of earned picks. (example: if you have 3 earned picks; you may pick three different teams for Paris Roubaix)

3.        You must send your picks no later than 1 day before the start of a given race.

Results

-              Results will be posted on the web page within 5 days after each Classic. 

-              Disputes (you don’t see a winning pick you’d made); e-mail youngstraining@gmail.com

-              Distributed on-going via either in person or by mail/shipping.

-              If you can’t get you prize in person; make sure Roger has your USPS address (added to an e-mailed pick

Picking: Be a student of the sport. Study the riders and decide which ones have the best shot at a win. While you're identifying your favorites note the teams they ride for and check if the race suits the team. Can your favorite's team help and what way. Check the news. Did one of your favorites become ill or otherwise compromise their chances in the upcoming race. The more informed you are, the better student you become, the better your chances to use your earned picks wisely - and the better you shot at valuable prizes ;)
